Hi everyone,

Could you please tell me what documents my husband needs from me, the petitioner, for his interview for the CR-1 visa at the consulate?    Also which documents need to be originals and which documents can he bring copies of?  Thanks in advance!

Thanks, JeanneAdil!  I was wondering about other documents like the original divorce decree from my first marriage.  I have read on other topics where the CO asked for it.

yes,  as that was needed at NVC stage

anything asked for for the NVC stage like original divorce,  original birth or naturalization of USC

did they send a check list

u should get a check list saying Needed ,   already submitted,  or does not apply   with the letter from NVC for the interview

Every civil document you scanned during NVC process is required to be original, the same original you scanned, and not a new one (Fich anthropemtrique is most likely expired (3 months), but they REQUIRE the one you scanned even if it is expired, no need for a new one).

You need divorce decrees also, if previously divorced: original or certified copy as issued by US courts. If from Morocco, you need original and translation.

For all originals, you need translation (if not in English) and a copy of the original

Exactly, they require a copy, which should already have been submitted during NVC process

our ficha anthrotemrique was a year old from NVC to embassy interview and still accepted/  this was a concern i had too but they allowed the one even though it said expires in 90 days

they may need to go into AP (but normal anyway) and be asked for a new one but Adil hasn't told he needed one/ we had his visa approved less than a week from the IR1 interiew

Thanks so much for this information! I was wondering about the I-864.  Should I send the original 1-864 EZ with a wet signature or my husband can just print it?
