Case is being actively reviewed

Hello everyone, 

 

I submitted the I-130 for my mother on July 3rd, 2021. I can't find a forum for July anywhere so I am posting here! On December 14th the case status changed to "Case is being actively reviewed by USCIS." A little bit of progress, I am really hoping it gets approved soon so my mum can come over in the spring. Has anyone elses case changed to this recently? If so, what was the time between the reviewing and approval? Service center says Potomac on notice.

it can be days to months. in my case, 12 months since " case is being actively reviewed by uscis" in potomac

The receipt date of form  I 130 I filled for my step son was January 6th 2020 at Nebraska center but the processing time at this center is maximum 7months, up till now it still indicate we are actively reviewing your form. can someone advise me what next i can do it almost a year.

"Maximum 7 months"?  Where are you getting that information?

 

There is no "maximum."  If your case is outside normal processing time, you can submit an inquiry.
