After the 10 year ban

Hi,

does anybody know what you have to do after the 10 year ban is over? 

My cr1 visa got denied because of overstay. My ban will end in November of 2022. I just need to know what all I have to do to get my visa next year.

If there was no attempt to reenter the US, your spouse can petition you and if approved, you can apply for the visa again.

3 years ago... i already asked the embassy in Frankfurt but they only said i should contact them when the ban is over... ji just want to know beforehand what all I have to do once it is over....

After you've served the ban, contact the Frankfurt consulate to let them know that you would like to re-apply for a spouse visa.  The I-130 approval does not expire, but if your last communication with the consulate was years ago, they may have archived the I-130.  Ask the consulate if they still have the petition.  If it's no longer at the consulate, you may have to file an I-824 and pay the fee.  Regardless of where the petition is, you will need to re-submit or update your DS-260, re-do your visa medical and interview.  Also, you will need to pay the fees again.

awesome.. thank you .. at least now i know what to expect.... fingers crossed... its been a long 9 years already...
