and for embassy updates,  you can refer to the US embassy Haiti which posts the following security notice because of the unrest in Haiti

Events:  The U.S. Embassy in Port-au-Prince has rescheduled all visa appointments through Friday, November 12, 2021.  However, the embassy remains open for services for U.S. citizens in Haiti.  Please avoid all unnecessary travel and remain vigilant, as the security situation continues to be highly unpredictable.
