Lost Dv2021 visa

Hi,
Can a lost (unactivated) DV 2021 visa be replaced after September 2021, in case the passport with it was lost? (it is valid until beginning of March 2022).

You’d need to contact the embassy that issued it to ask their procedures. If it involves having to cancel the old visa (in the system) and issue a new one (as I believe but am not certain is the usual process), you will probably not be able to get one after Sept 30, but you should confirm this with the embassy.

Thank you very much for your reply. 

Actually I have not lost anything yet, but I will travel to other places before, and I am afraid if I would lose my passport, if that would mean that I would lose my GC (since I haven't activated yet). 

True, I should have asked that when I was at the embassy, even if it seems a little bit of an odd question.

Well, take care of your passport. If you are that nervous about losing it for whatever reason, maybe you should first make a trip to the US to activate your immigrant visa before going elsewhere. That’s the only sure way to not lose your opportunity.
