SOFA Visa and US Embassy Interview Transfer

Hello Everyone! So my husband already arrived in Japan last July 31 coming from Bahrain.
Me and my son have to stay because we need to wait for my son’s paperwork to be done.

How do I get a Visa to be able to come to Japan? Is SOFA visa possible for me because I am a non- US Citizen and No green card yet?
Only my son is a US Citizen at the moment.
 

And Just incase our NOA1 got approved  and I am already in Yokosuka can I we be able to transfer the interview there or I need to go back to my home country US Embassy to be interviewed

If you can get proof that you legally reside in Japan, then yes, you may request transfer of your case there.
