Can a sponsor fill for medicaid while benificiant waiting for green card? (Adjustment of Statut, under marriage k1)

Is that will affect the case? Please answer

Yes the can apply and not in itself but might imply they can not meet the financial requirements.

Knowing nothing about your situation the general comment would be to have a Joint Sponsor as a backup.

If you qualify for medicaid you probably don't meet the financial requirements to sponsor someone. Do you have someone willing/qualified to be a joint sponsor?

Service Center : Texas Service Center   Transferred? California Service Center on 8/11/14

Consulate : Port au Prince, Haiti             I-129F Sent : 4/14/2014

I-129F NOA1 : 4/24/14                            I-129F NOA2 : 9/10/14

NVC Received : 9/24/14                          NVC Left : 9/26/14

Consulate Received : 10/6/14 CEAC status changed to ready

Packet 3 Received : 10/27/14 packet received by petitioner in USA ( beneficiary never received packet 3)

Medical: 10/30/14 Dr. Buteau                  Medical picked up: 11/3/14

Packet 3 Sent : 11/10/13.. Had to schedule interview appointment and attach confirmation receipt to packet

Interview Date : 12/1/14                           Interview Result : Approved !

Visa Received : 12/10/14 picked up at Jacmel location

US Entry : 12/15/14 Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Apply for Social Security Card: 12/30/14 Connecticut

My wife made 33k 

For 2 households it’s 17k

so I don’t need a joint sponsor.

but a nurse said u could be qualify for medicaid… 

I don’t get it

The sponsorship requirements are very low so I can see it is quite possible to meet those and qualify for Medicaid.

$21,775 is 125% of the federal poverty guideline for a family of 2.

$22,930 is the Medicaid income limit for your state for a family of 2.

If your wife made $33,000 then you don’t qualify for Medicaid for your state.

Regardless, the US citizen is entitled to Medicaid if he/she qualifies and it would not hurt the immigrant adjusting status.
