Hi

My mother is 67 and has been in US since 2008 - traveling outside the US during the last 5 years is less than 30 months.

1. How long is it taking to get naturalization biometrics and interview call in Florida for those applying in 2021?
2. Anyone with similar scenario. how lenient are those conducting the interview - especially with English and the number of questions?

2. If she does not qualify for an exemption she will get the normal examination. She will be expected to be able to converse in English (the main part of the English test is the discussion around the N400 and related questions and answers). The civics questions are selected randomly and as you know she needs to answer 6 out of 10 correctly. There is no “leniency” for this. If you are worried then find one of the many community centers/adult education centers that provide programs on English and civics for the naturalization test, these are often free or very low cost.
