TB test question

My fiancé’s interview was cancelled and rescheduled for June 8 in Islamabad, Pakistan.  we have a question. On travel.state.gov it mentions tb test is required for applicants 15 or older.

my fiancé went to the medical office and was told K1 visa does not require it and after chest test they don’t recommend him the tb test.

my fiancé also says that he had to get it when he went for masters in Scotland and has the report for that one.

You should rely on consulate instructions regarding medical, not what travel.state.gov says. Usually, a chest X-ray is taken and if results are suspect, they will require more testing.

The chest x-ray is the precursor for TB.
