I'm trying to search and find an answer but not having luck on this.

I am currently living in the USA, and she is in Canada. We are going to file CR-1, and work toward this. Is there any issue with her visiting the USA for periods of time while this application is being processed?

She should be able to visit as long as she still has strong ties in Canada and her visits are not too long. My husband has visited me here while we wait for our CR-1 and hasn't had any problems. Just make sure she always has a return ticket and she should be fine.

She has ties, but just lost her job. How can she prove it? Can she bring CR-1 paperwork to prove we're trying to do it legally?

Sometimes them knowing you are applying makes some of these agents think you are gong to stay and adjust...we did have one incident where my husband came in and they asked him what was the purpose of his visit...he said the usual visiting friends and family and then they asked him what family...he didn't want to lie so he told them my wife then asked him all about our filing status...he got in but it was an ordeal because they were thinking he was coming to adjust. So the CR-1 isn't enough to prove you won't try to adjust once she is here

Does she have a house? Apartment? etc?

When visiting, bring proof of ties like a lease or mortgage statement, utility bills and your NOA for the I-130.
