I've not read anyone visiting fiance/fiancee at the time of their K-1 visa interview, is it seen as a red flag or something ?

Not a problem, in fact it looks better, you are showing a genuine interest in your fiancee getting the visa.

I visited my Yu for Spring festival, and also for the K-1 interview, I made it known that I was in Guangzhou by visiting the consulate for US Citizen's Q and A, and gave my fiancee my passport to take into the interview so that the consular officer knew I was in Guangzhou.

Not a red flag at all.

if your consulate allows it, i say go for it...i dont think it can possibly hurt your case

Lots of people join their fiance/fiancee at the interview. I'll be joining mine.

Often - and unfortunately - it depends on who can afford to take the time off work and who can afford the travel expenses. Others have family obligations. From what I've read, it's viewed as a positive by many consulates.

I was at the K-1 interview with my fiancee.///It actually looks better.

I'll be with mine! We have to go to another country for his interview, and what better way to travel then to do it together!
