Like many I've been waiting quite some time for my AOS interview (Seattle field office/Covid etc).  We're now approaching our 2yr marriage anniversary.  I'm just wondering, presuming you get approved, if you've been married for more than 2yrs at the point the interview happens do you "skip" the conditional 2yr GC and get a 10yr one straight out of the gate?

If your green card is issued after your 2nd wedding anniversary, you will get a 10 years green card and will not have to go through the Removal of Conditions process.

This got me by surprise, so my 2nd wed anniversary will be Sept, if I get GC now, or couple months before Sep, do I still have to wait 2 years before applying for Removal of Condition, or I can straight apply for it after 2nd wed anniversary?

If you get a conditional green card, you would file after having the green card for 2 years.  Your 2nd wedding anniversary is not considered when removing conditions.

Even a day before your 2nd. anniversary, you would receive a conditional GC and should go through removal of conditions 21 months after it is approved.
