I am a British citizen and a Permanent Resident of USA. I need to travel to England in May due to child custody (this is classed as excused essential travel on the embassy website). With the new Level 4 Travel ban I am naturally nervous about being allowed re entry into USA upon my return. Although the USA state website says Permanent Residents are allowed re-entry it still makes me uneasy. I am also traveling on a visa extension stamp. Do you think I will have any problems re-entering?

No issues re-entering as an LPR. You will need a negative COVID test upon arrival and there may be other local requirements at the state level in terms of quarantine/vaccines.

You will be fine but go to the airport with plenty time. I had 2 airline check points at Heathrow and both hadnt seen my visa before so had to confirm with a supervisor. But it was all smooth and easy.
