LONDON, England (CNN) -- Investigators are focusing on at least three doctors believed to have played a role in the attempted terror attacks in London and Glasgow last week, sources said Monday.

Police patrol Glasgow Airport as Britain's terror alert remains at a critical level.

Iraqi doctor Bilal Abdulla, 27, has been identified as one of the two men who rammed an explosives-laden SUV into a terminal at Glasgow's airport on Saturday, one of the sources said.

British authorities believe those two men are the same ones who parked two car bombs in central London on Friday. The cars, packed with fuel and nails, could have killed hundreds if they had been set off.

In addition to Abdulla, police also arrested Dr. Mohammed Asha, a Jordanian-educated physician who moved to England two years ago, according to a source with knowledge of the investigation. Read about Asha's history

Asha, 26, was picked up late Saturday on a motorway in the Cheshire area of northern England, a source said. Police say he was arrested with a 27-year-old woman, identified by Asha's family as his wife.

Asha's house in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, has been searched since his arrest Saturday night. Neighbors there said that another doctor is also part of the probe.

Police have sealed off the home of the unnamed doctor and his wife, which is about two miles from Asha's home in Newcastle-under-Lyme. Forensic teams are searching the house, where the doctor and his wife have lived for about a year, neighbors said. Police would not confirm any details about their search.

It is unclear if the doctor and his wife are in police custody.

Asha's family in Amman, Jordan, is distraught and has not heard anything from the British Embassy or from London, his older brother, Ahmed Asha, said.

Asha was not a religious person and was in the top of his medical class, focusing on neurosurgery, his brother said.

The family is especially worried about Asha's 2-year-old son, who was born in Britain shortly after the couple moved there. The family does not know who is taking care of the young boy since both parents have been arrested, the brother said.

On Monday, a bomb disposal unit performed at least two controlled explosions on a suspicious device at a hospital where one of the suspects in Saturday's Glasgow attack is being treated for severe burns.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. I'd say terrorism is against the Hippocratic Oath.

Unfortunately, two examples (one deservedly deceased) who hold/held contempt for Hippocratic Oath:
  • Mahmud al-Zahar, Hamas cabinet
  • Abdulaziz Rantisi, leader of Hamas for 1 month until he joined his predecessor Yasin in the Lake of Fire.

So, (for S&J) Abdulla and Asha may have been "sleepers".

Obviously not fundamentalists extremists... what the hell would propel both of them to want to destroy their lives and their families? Tragic. :(

Tragic? In what way? I don't feel sorry for a second for bastards that set out to kill innocent people. Or for their bastardly families. They deserve whatever they have coming to them. And then some.

That's tragic. A 2 year old is now orphaned. Don't let your emotions eclipse your humanity.

Obviously, a two year old is innocently caught in the middle. That is indeed tragic.

Did you miss the fact that Dr. Asha decided to commit an act which resulted in this consequence?

Also, a reiteration: when Talwinder Singh Parmar emigrated to Canada in 1970, he smoked, drank, went turbanless with barbered hair (all of these are anathema to orthodox Sikhs)--but by 1984, he was a fanatic sporting a turban and luxuriant beard. So, Drs. Abdulla and Asha may have become fanatics more recently in UK.

(admittedly, Parmar was a lathe operator, but...)

Not that I agree with their actions, but I will play the devils advocate for a point. The saying goes, one man's terrorist, is another solider. If you were a doctor would you be willing to harm someone if you believe the cause you fought for was true and correct?

We see them as terrorists, but there is more than one person who will see them as soldiers. Would you say the same thing to a soldier who was also a doctor?

I think the fact that they were doctors has little relevance to this discussion, and they should be punished for their crime as it is if proven in the court of law. Though they are going to have a hard time finding a jury thats not biased on that.

Our military Dr's/Medics/Corpsman treat the enemy, not try to destroy them.

I think there are and have been situations where thats not entirely true. But yes, I would hope most doctors stay out of combat when they can. Still does it really matter in this case?
