Hello everyone! Me and my now husband decided to abandon the k1 visa journey and get married instead, we filed aos already and we need to let embassy know that we want to withdraw our k1 petition. What exactly should we write?

Or do nothing and it will expire on its own

Better to inform then so they don't waste hours working on the case when they could be working on someone else's.

Hours?  That's funny 😄 😆 🤣   you mean 1 minute.....  because,  the OP asked about notifying the embassy, which means the uscis has already approved.

At the embassy phase,  nobody touches the file unless an application is made.  No application,  no further work on the file.

Actually might cause more work by contacting them.
