So i entered the country with a K1 visa. We already got married and are filling out the AOS forms. I wanna take my husbands last name from now on but I dont know exactly how to do it. I read I just have to fill out all the forms with my new last name and thats it? is that correct? We got married in Florida, not sure if there is some specific requirement for a legal name change. thanks

In Florida, you only need your marriage certificate to legally be able to take your spouse's last name as your own.  (You can't change your first or middle names.  You can only take your spouse's last name.)

Fill everything out with your new last name.

The specific requirement is to perfect the name change by starting to use it, including but not limited to, on any USCIS post marriage applications
