Hi Everyone. My husband and I have been married for two years- we are both 52 years of age- He's in Accra. We are still waiting for his interview because COVID stopped things at Embassy. Our documents were qualified May 2020- do you think we are close to being called for interview? Does anyone have update on how the Embassy is moving along now? Thanks so much!

Hello Carianmette,

Our case was DQ December 2019! We too are still waiting for a reschedule from April of 2020! At this point we’ve been passed up. They’re not going in order of cancellation. I’ve been in groups and see people after us have been scheduled and approved visas. It’s so frustrating! We filed in 2015! Frustrating they refuse to email you back about and questions and concerns you have! I don’t know what their thinking is, but it isn’t fair or right. Isn’t right that they’re being this way and handling of cases especially with their low COVID numbers.!😡 While other countries are open and moving right along!

That's why I made a decision. Eventhough I am an American citizen, and I have been here all of my life- I've decided to move to Ghana going into the new year- especially, since it looks like the US Embassy in Ghana is not calling any new cases for Interviews. I'm finishing up my Master's degree in Education and will obtain a job with an American company that is stationed in Ghana- at least until he is called for interview. We have been married for almost 2 and half years and simply cannot and will not allow the US Embassy to keep us apart. So I will just go to be with my husband- especially at our ages.We are almost 53 years of age! We got married at 50! So Love Goes where Love Is. And my place is with my husband- no matter what sacrifices I have to make for the time being. Amen.
