Sounds like you need a sponser because your wife's income isn't a "job" persay meaning it's probably not seen as continuous/permanent income like a job would intail to the USCIS.

SHe needs income or capital, gifts from parents are not income.

Failing that a co-sponsor, does not need to be her Mother.

if your wife dont have an ITR that is difficult, but if your wife have a property house, lot/land, car on her own name then you can use it probably. the best option is to find a co-sponsor. goodluck.

Did you have a co-sponsor for your K-1 interview. Can they not continue to sponsor you for the AOS?

I believe they will send you an RFE again. I think you need to find a co-sponsor because I doubt they will accept "no income". They want to make sure you won't be a burden to the government/society (ie welfare, etc) if and when you are given your green card. I suggest you find someone quickly as I do believe you have a certain amount of time in order to send your RFE back to them, otherwise they will think you abandoned your case.

I dont think this is a good idea. You need to send what the first RFE requested. They will not send another RFE for the same problem. They will just deny your AOS.
