I-485 Part 8 Question 17

My interview is finally coming up, so I've been reading once again all the forms that we sent to USCIS. Seeing form I-485, I saw Part 8 Question 17 which says: "Have you EVER violated the terms or conditions of your nonimmigrant status?". I came to the USA on a B2 Visa and filed the AOS before the expiration of my I-94, so my answer for that question on my form was NO.

My question is..., What about if during my interview the agent ask me the same question? My I-94 expired back in February 2020, does it means that I violated the terms of my B2 visa?, What should I respond?

The answer is still no. You are in a period of authorized stay while your AOS is pending. Nothing to worry about.
