Personally, if I could stay till the day after or a few days later, I'd do that. Same day is kind of a rush. That's just me though 😉

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

You could get one that evening? After the Consulate will have closed.

I personally would fly out the next day, for practicality. Flying later in the day would mean wasting a night's worth of hotel room (assuming you're staying at a hotel), or having to check out early in the morning before you go for your interview which is a hassle and also you wouldn't have a room to come back to and decompress after your interview. Comfort is really important for me personally when it comes to major events like this.

I just had my interview yesterday (Monday); I flew in on Saturday to give me a buffer day before the interview in case my flight got canceled, and I'm flying out two days after the interview so I can just relax for the whole day after the interview :)
