American/Canadian Immigration.

Hi guys,

I am a USC and I am considering filing for my younger sister and I know it takes close to 15 years from what I am told so I need to Clarify a few things.
My sister is trying to go for an advanced Degree program in Canada and she would want to consider the numerous opportunities available to become a Canadian PR.
I know the US and Canada work hand in hand to a certain extent when it comes to immigration and because of how long it takes to get an American Green Card when I file for her, I however do not want to jeopardize her chances of becoming a Canadian PR.
I want to apply for her American Green Card right away so the years start to count.

my question now is, do you think having an existing American Immigration application could affect her Canadian chances in the near future?

Thanks in advance for your contributions.

No.  Only things like deportations, denials, removals, voluntary withdrawals etc would affect it.
