New Job but Waiting on New SSN

Hi all,

I recently received my green card but have not been able to change my last name on my social security card yet because the office has been closed. Within the same week, I also accepted a job at another employer and they are asking for my SSN. Do I submit the old one with my maiden name? Would they be able to update that later? Or would this delay my process since I will have to get my new card with my new last name? Thank you so so much for your help/advice on this.
