N-400 with an approved I-751

Hello guys,

 

My earliest filing date is coming up in 2 days.

 

I was going to use my extension letter for my I-751 case, but now my case was approved last week and a card was being produced.

 

Now assuming I do not receive anything this week, should I file for N-400 even though I still do not have a card, or the approval notice?  What should I upload in the section that asks for front and back of my green card?  Assuming I receive the approval notice in the next few days, can I use that along with my expired green card?

 

What do you guys think I should do?  I know that it is best to wait, but some personal circumstances forces to me to apply as soon as I can so I can be naturalized as soon as possible.

 

Any thought would be greatly appreciated.

02/02/2018 Interview date!

02/08/2018 Received Approval texts and messages (I-485 Approved - I-130 Approved the day before)

02/08/2018 Card Was Mailed To Me. Total of 80 days from PD.

02/27/2018 card returned undelivered to USCIS + Placed Service request to resend the card

05/03/2018 Card was Delivered to me.  Took 63 days wait period.

11/07/2019 Package was signed for and picked up around 11:30 AM, Dallas TX

11/18/2019 Received 18 months extension letter

I am in Cleveland and the wait is about 4 months.

Multiple others I've seen here who got their cases approved a while back still waiting for the cards and the notices.

The reason I am rushing because I have a plan for someone who may go over the age of 21.  The timing is very close.

4 months?? Not during COVID!!

If they say the card is being processed, then the wait is only 5 days by mail.

 

21?? Is this a child/adult thing? 18 is the age of maturity to sponsor a child.

Yes. Cleveland was 6 months Max during the pandemic.  I followed some Clevelanders with n400.  Those who applied in July are getting approvals and interviews now.

No, according to USCIS laws, a child is anyone unmarried under the age of 21.

Talking about 2 different things here

 

1.  time to get the green card produced 

2.  time to get approved and the oath for citizenship

 

according to the USCIS timelines for this,  the Cleveland office says 8 to 12 months

do not expect 6 months as the process depends on too many factors like for one ,  how many cases they get

They actually accepted my petition without copies of the green card.  Only the approval notice.

Additionally, the online timeline for Cleveland is not accurate.  In fact, none of them are.  My I-751 timeline in Nebraska is between 14 months to 28.  My approval and the vast majority of others got it within 10 to 11 months.
