I received a letter from NVC mentiong that they have receive the approved I-129F and that they will be forwarding the petition to the visa-issuing post. However I've not received the NOA2 (I-129F approval letter) from the USCIS.

How can I follow up to know where the petition is now ? Can I use the case number mentioned in the letter I received from NVC ?

Also I believe the original NOA2 is required for the visa interview ? Someone please answer.

I had the same problem we got the NVC letter on June 7 and I though that was our NOA 2 but it wasn't and today I just got an email from USCIS saying that On June 25 they sent us a notice that they have approved the I 129 petition for fiance, so I guess they were behind with the email updates and they are working on that now. I already got the package 3 and 4 and I have my interview date.

I think that everybody that is in the same situation will get soon the NOA2 !! Good luck!!

You may not get your noa 2. We never did, I had to call last week and have them reissue it. You do not need the NOA 2 for the interview, but you will for the AOS so you have some time before you have to really worry.
