Entering the US from Canada

Hi guys

Considering visiting my fiancée in the US, but thinking of where to stay in between for 14/15 days.

I’m from the U.K., and believe I can enter Canada as I have extended family members who are Canadian citizens. (Aunt, uncle and cousins.) Does anyone know if I will be allowed to fly to the US from Canada for tourism (to visit my fiancée) after spending the allotted 14 days in Canada?

I’m aware that Mexico, Jamaica and Turkey are options, but given I have family in Canada, this could prove to be much cheaper.

Thanks!

Yes. The important part is to fly because of the land entry restrictions.

Might want to double check: "To be considered an extended family member of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, it depends on who you’re related to and how." https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/visitors/immediate-family.html#extended

Since the initial Question is about about entering the US from Canada, here's a different scenario.

I and my wife, we are both Canadian Permanent Residents and currently our status in the US is F1(mine) & F2(spouse).

I am currently into the first year of my STEM OPT Extension.

We intend to visit Toronto to sort out some errands- create bank accounts , driver license and if possible get some interviews for jobs- and return to the US within 4 weeks time(inclusive of the mandatory 14 days rule).

While I'm aware of the mandatory quarantine rules that Canada mandates any incoming resident to undergo, I'm not aware of any such precautions/restrictions, such as getting a negative COVID test before flying to US, being imposed by USA.

Also, since we plan to return to Illinois, USA, within 4 weeks, extending the initial question, Does anyone know if we will be allowed to fly to the US from Canada for work  after following the mandatory 14 day quarantine instructions?

Canada isn't a "travel ban" country for the US.   The federal government doesn't impose a quarantine on your arrive to Chicago.   Chicago or Illinois may have some law in force.
