Xrays at POE

I just read on the US embassy interview checklist that you need to carry your X-rays with you for immigration at POE.

Is this correct? My case is processing electronically so will they be available on there? Nobody at my medical mentioned that I would have to take them with me!

Not correct. You will receive the x rays from Knightsbridge Doctors in the form of a CD when you have your interview at the embassy. CBP does not require them. They cannot even read them anyway - they are border patrol agents not radiologists.

I brought mine with me and gave the CD to my new GP here but it’s not required. It did lead to a very interesting discussion with the GP on the whole process and he was more fascinated by the mountain of paperwork involved and the questions asked than my chest X-ray.

Absolutely agree with above response. You will not need your x-Ray at POE or ever again. With Visa Medicals now sending their report to the embassy electronically, the days of a CR1 being handed your x-Ray cd at the interview are probably over. The clinic used to send it with the paper report by courier. Since Visa Medicals and the embassy aren’t going to store it for any purpose, they gave it to the beneficiary. The London website has said that for a dozen years that I know of, yet not one person has every reported in this forum in all that time that POE asked for the X-ray.

Question on x-rays

The girl that took it originally messed up 2 times and we had to go back for a 3rd (and hopefully final)

we did not receive a cd from the medical appointment.

So do we only receive the copy of this cd at the interview at embassy?

Thanks
