Hi, my interview was originally scheduled on August 31st but the US consulate Hong Kong cancelled it a couple days prior through phone call.. The reason for cancellation is covid-19. Anyone else going through the same thing? Please share..thanks..

Hi, Supernovan, I did observe some VJ members in Hong Kong with their original appointments in mid-August cancelled because of COVID-19, but got their interviews on Sept 22 and Sept 25. So I hope you will get your appointment soon. Also, the Department of State has sent out guidance (Sept 5, 15, 17) to Embassies to process Diversity Visa 2020 as much as possible before Sept 30. This probably adds additional visa processing loads to embassies (HK Consulate included) in the past two weeks. Hopefully, this rush is over, and HK Consulate can reschedule your appointment soon.
