Still no record of mine at the NVC via the automated voice system. I don't think K-1s stick around the NVC long enough to be accessed that way, from what I've heard. It wasn't nice hearing the automated guy saying "there is no record of your case." My NOA2 was the 7th of June, and haven't heard anything from anyone since then.

We still haven't had a letter from NVC to tell us our app has been received, its 3 weeks now since we were approved. I sent them an email last week to ask if they have got it but i've had no response, so i guess i will have to phone them to find out if they've had it yet.

Sure. you can call them according following guide:

Call on the NVC automated voice response number (603) 334-0700 .. than press 1 for English or 2 for Spanish... than press 1 for information about your immigrant visa... It will then ask you if you know your CIS receipt number.....press 1 (Once you have a case number you can use this.....press 2). You then follow the instructions to key in your number.

It will then tell you if NVC has received the petition, and assigned a number.

I found this very helpful guide in some topic, unfortunatelly i don't remember who wrote it to thank him :)

Good luck!

1 for English and the 5 for operator....skip the automated stuff

Hi!Finally my fiance got the approval notice on june 22,2007. I am thinking that we've been approved since june 6,2007 when i got the last touch.

Only today we found out that you can check if NVC recieved your case via NVC automated voice response number (603) 334-0700!!! Before we called and waited for operator and it took ages :( .. anyway our case still wasn't recieved in NVC

Unless I was doing something wrong (and that is entirely possible), I kept getting that response too when I used the automated system. I called the NVC and used the automated one day and then called right back to try to find out the email address thinking that would get me results faster. I actually got through that second time and talked to a person who told me that the package was sent already to the consulate. The automated system didn't seem to give me the right info. I don't really know but that was my experience anyway. I think you should try to talk to an actual person if you can.

11/07/07 - AOS package sent off to Chicago lockbox

11/09/07 - applied for SSN & got it (with married name!)

11/15/07 - package received

11/19/07 - NOA1 received for I-485, I-765, I-131 (snail mail)

11/20/07 - SSN card arrived in mail

11/20/07 - touch (I-131)

11/24/07 - notification for biometrics received (dated Nov. 20)

12/04/07 - Biometrics appointment

12/05/07 - touch (I-485, I-765)

12/21/07 - touch (I-485 transferred to CSC)

01/04/08 - touch (I-485)

01/06/08 - touch (I-485)

01/08/08 - EAD approved, card production ordered

01/11/08 - EAD card production ordered...again

01/15/08 - EAD approval sent

01/16/08 - AP approval sent

01/18/08 - AP touch

01/24/08 - AOS touched

Dear all March filers what do you think if we can talk about a process after NOA-2 here- I mean our thoughts, feelings, experience  The end of our journey is coming

Just a side note about package 3 coming from the Consulate. There are great resources on this website to prepare us for what is coming. The only thing I didn't know was that they change your file/case number once you reach the consulate. I jumped the gun and faxed my package 3 checklist back (from the email the Consulate sent) before looking at the actual hard copy from the mail. I put the wrong case number because I didn't know they changed it. I'm not worried about it but it means faxing them again tomorrow to make sure they get everything ok.

As for the NVC, it seemed that my case took about 2 weeks to get to the NVC or so but then it took a while before the consulate received my case - very nerve wracking - it felt like forever!!!! It is so frustrating to have to wait and wait but one comforting thought is that the process will continue whether we call them or not. It also pays to have the DS-230 Part 1 filled out ready to fax the Consulate once you get word that they have your package. That way, they can continue processing your case.

Congrats to those who just received their NOA2s! YAY!

Hello fellow March Filers! The automated system at NVC will not work for those that have filed K1 visa's. You must talk to an operator to find out if you petition has arrived/left.

Well, NVC still does not receive my application. :innocent:

Guess I'm back in the waiting game.

what can I say? I just sit back and wait. I'm used to it anyway.

Anybody, March filers (NOA2s) please let me know if NVC receives your papers yet.

Thanks

Ism

I just got my NOA 2 in the mail and NVC letter stating that they received my packet and will now be forwarded to Sydney consulate. Both of these letters showed up at the same day because they didn't bother mailing out an NOA2 until I called to ask what the dealio!

A question for you. Our K1 was received March 23, Approved June 5, Received by NVC June 22. My question is. . when they will forward it to Manila, where beneficiary is , does the petition already has a new case number? Or is it the Manila Embassy that will assign the new case number when it will receive the petition? What about your case? Do you laready have your case number now that your petition has been forwarded to Sydney? Thank you very much

Joe and Myla

Your petition will have a MNL# when it leaves NVC. Do not waste your money on calling the USE Manila, because you can find out the same info from the DOS. They have the same info, once entered at Manila, or any other embassy updates your case by computer..

Unfortunately yes. It was a bit frustrating because we saw the timelines here and most couples' petition took only 3 to 5 days to reach NVC from the USCIS. But it is there now and progressing. We hope to get our case number soon and information that it has been sent to Manila. A lot of timelines here show that after one day from receipt the NVC has sent the petition to the beneficiary's counrty. We both hope well have the same luck :)
