Should one wait or apply for citizenship while some offices closed?

Would you recommend to apply for citizenship right now, while some offices and Application Support Centers are closed, or should I wait a little longer? I am afraid that if I apply right now then there is a great chance that my application will get lost and it will take ages to get through this process. I will apply online.

And if you suggest to wait, then what would be a good time to apply? When ASCs open? I also don't wait for too long since USCIS promised to increase N400 fees significantly.

Btw, have anyone applied during pandemic times? What is your experience?

Thank you everybody.

but the first step is to get biometrics. And I won't be able to get one done with ASCs closed. Is it possible that my application will get lost in line for biometrics somewhere since they will have to reschedule it when ASCs will open?

You are paranoid for no reason, they will arrange your biometrics when everything is back to normal. Someone reports they use old fingerprint captures for background check (biometrics apppointment waived) also.

Yes, I read about it as well. Would be great if they did reuse biometrics. That would make more sense. Thanks.

I don't see a reason to wait, it's  not like your application will get lost just because some things are on hold for now. If you file now you'll get in line now, if you wait you'll have thousands of more cases in front of you in line before the offices open again.

USCIS have stated on their website that they waive the biometrics for some applicants and reuse old ones. I wouldn't worry about not getting your biometrics done within the first month, your case is likely to take much longer than that even if you had your biometrics done next week.
