No NVC welcome letter after 2 months and I-129f approved by UCSIS

Hi 

 

We applied 1-129f in 2019, after exact 7 months we got our Noa2 approval in March 20 but even after 2.5 months no nvc welcome letter is sent to us, when we call ucsis they say wait 90 days. Is somebody in same situation? Is it due to covid 19 shutdown?

There are various timetables for the activity of sending the "welcome letter". Have you checked your spam folder? You don't need the letter if you have your case number (CN). The CN will help move your process along. Use the links below to learn how and what you can do at this phase. With the embassies still in lockdown many things are proceeding differently than the "normal".

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. No we have not received a case number upon calling to NVC they inform they did not get our file from UCSIS. When we enquire from UCSIS they say wait till 90 days. Has someone seen this same situation? Its been 84 days now 😞

Since NVC has stopped shipping case files, nobody is getting a "welcome" letter.  The notification letter is sent upon shipment

Your still too early and with everything at a slow standstill I'd expect additional delays.

Are they sending case numbers or also holding them? We have no case number from NVC after around 3 months

They are issuing case numbers, but cases are not going to the embassies. Many have gone through what you are going through. Have you called USCIS and talked to a tier two representative?

Yes my fiance who is a US citizen called and they say they sent it to NVC and cant help much. We called NVC they referred to NVC research and we emailed them. No response yet.....the approval notice 1-797 expires on july 15th so hoping that Atleast case is received by NVC soon

NOA2'S are valid for one year from approval. The embassy can extend in four month increments, but not NVC.
