Does anyone know how many you can apply for? I know it says you can apply for a secondary one. But can you apply for a third if needed? I can’t find any sources. This is just for emergency situations thank you.

Well - satisfactory departure by definition is for emergency situations.

 

The general rule is one 30 day period (USCIS: “ A grant of satisfactory departure cannot exceed 30-days”; CBP: “ If an emergency prevents an alien admitted under this part from departing from the United States within his or her period of authorized stay, the district director having jurisdiction over the place of the alien's temporary stay may, in his or her discretion, grant a period of satisfactory departure not to exceed 30 days.”)

 

 

so the fact that they are currently offering a second, see below - and the way it is worded  - implies that there won’t be more.

Flexibility for Visa Waiver Entrants. Visa Waiver Program (VWP) entrants are not eligible to extend their stay or change status. However, under current regulations, if an emergency (such as COVID-19) prevents the departure of a VWP entrant, USCIS in its discretion may grant a period of satisfactory departure for up to 30 days. Please see 8 CFR 217.3(a). For those VWP entrants already granted satisfactory departure and unable to depart within this 30-day period because of COVID-19 related issues, USCIS has the authority to temporarily provide an additional 30-day period of satisfactory departure. To request satisfactory departure from USCIS, a VWP entrant should call the USCIS Contact Center.   

So any further period looks like it would need yet another temporary extension, not something I’d rely on.
