Green Card but no SSN

Hi everyone!

So my husband and I had a crazy circumstance where we actually had our marriage-based interview with USCIS and were approved for his green card on March 16th (the days before USCIS offices were closed)! We have felt so fortunate that we got in, especially considering what everyone else is going through. That said, we received his green card about 10 days later after the interview, but it's now been 2+ months and we have still not received his SSN. He did not receive an EAD before the interview, because we went through Buffalo, NY where they seem to process cases much faster. Anyone else experience this same thing and have any recommendations? We tried calling the Social Security Offices, but they can't issue new cards over the phone, you generally have to go into an office to do that, but they are of course closed. Any advice helps!

Thanks!
