Hi!

I'm new here and i must say this website is very useful.

My fiancé and I are currently gathering all the papers to apply for the K1 VISA.

I've got a question regarding the residence last 5 years section.

I've graduated last october after 6 years of study during which I have had many apartments and adresses but my reference adress (taxes, insurance...) has always been my parents' adress. I was going back there at the end of each school year.

My question is, do i need to specify all my adresses as a student or do the USCIC autorities only require the reference adress (my parents').

I also have spent 8 months in an english university and consequently i was living on the campus. Does it count?

Do I need to get a record from the english police?

And if so, any idea how i should proceed?

Thank you very much for your help :)

You can simply indicate "various addresses near XYZ University, City, ST). Address detail is not important on the G325a. The same goes for your studies in the UK. Police reports are required if you lived in a country a year or more.

Thanks for your answers

It makes everything easier

I was worrying about getting a record from the english police, not that i have done anything wrong but more because of the complexity of the process

i think police certificates are needed when you lived there for at least 6 months. this is what the instructions say i got with my packet 3.

but why dont you check in your regional forum for the right answere. maybe its different here in germany!

i would write done just the town you lived in and from when to when, no specific address.

i've emailed the GB embassy to learn more about police reports

even if it's early to think about packet 3 i like better knowing what to expect, especially when it comes to get papers from another country!
