N400 Trips Outside US in 5 yrs if applying as a spouse (3 yr requirement)

My 90 filing window opens in a few days so pulling together all my documents.

 

I am filling in section on trips outside the USA in last 5 years.

 

As spouse of USC I have only been LPR for 3 yrs and applying based on that criteria.

Do I still need to put in 5 yrs of periods outside USA? When I would have been living in my home country for the other 2 years.

I crossed out 5 and listed 3 years. Wasn’t a problem. Besides, it’s accounted for with your address history.

I'm doing it online, but think will just put in trips outside since Greencard approved in 08/17, otherwise would totally skew days outside country even though legally wasn't allowed to be in country for more than 90 days 😕 I mean hopefully they should assess same based on applying under 3 yr rule married to USC.

Yes, its bad that the form asks for 5, even when you're filing on basis of 3 years. As others have done, I just documented trips within those 3 years (ie after I entered the US to marry on K1). Else I'd have the best part of the previous two years spent outside the US. You'd think they'd add a note on the form about this.
