NVC has yet to receive our information.

Hello everyone. We filed the i-129 and received our NOA2 from the California Service Center on the 27th of March. We have yet to receive an update and as far we know the NVC has not received our information. I checked the NVC website and it says that the non-immigration visa phone line has been suspended and that they cannot respond to inquires about non-immigration visas via email.

 

So... Is this normal? Should we be doing something?

EAD May 23, 2014 Employment Authorization Document approved and went to card production

TD May 23, 2014 Travel Document approved and went for card production

Receipt EAD/AP May 30, 2014 Received combo card EAD/AP

Green Card Approved July 11, 2014 Approved, no interview. Went to card production.

Green Card received July 17, 2014 GC received without interview

Removal of Conditions

Mailed I-751 Dec 16, 2015 Submitted ROC (removal of conditions)

Received Dec 18, 2015 USPS notification of successful delivery

Check Cashed Dec 21, 2015 Check was cashed

NOA-1 Issued Dec 21, 2015 NOA-1 for ROC issued

NOA-1 Issued Dec 26, 2015 NOA-1 Received

Biometrics Appt. Jan 29, 2016 Biometrics Appointment Scheduled [Completed]

Thanks, just wondering if I should call the NVC considering it says on their website that the phone line for nonimmigrant visas is suspended

The processing is backlogged and short staffed now so be patient.

Nothing is moving so it really doesn't make any difference as to when you will get a visa. You won't accomplish anything by calling NVC as your file is parked until the embassies open again. Take a short vacation away from the visa process for now.
