nor why the system allowed you to ROC in May 2017.

Seems OP's divorce was finalized before filing for ROC (I assume with divorce waiver):

10 month later I received reply for i-90 and the letter basically said the date 8/8/2015 is correct in USCIS system.

also before I received that i-90 reply, I divorced.

later on 5/8/2017 I filed for removing the condition

But my assumption could be wrong.

Ok well that would make sense... If it was a divorce waiver then the ROC could be sent early. However if the 751 was filled out with improper dates then it may be a problem still. Would be interested in knowing what was filled out on the 751. Not sure if incorrect info would 'void' the approval and I dont want to waste time looking into it if its N/A. I honestly dont understand why the i-90 was responded to that there was no error. I wonder if he has a copy of it and if it would be helpful to see (with personal date blacked out). And even if it was an error that they missed why didnt it get picked up when his ROC was looked at? Yes he wouldve been in a window to file but they still shouldve seen the discrepancy with the date his card was issued- it was issued before he was in the US and before he was even married! So its not like they corrected it at ROC. I am assuming he got a 10yr card with the same incorrect date on it. Hence why when he called the rep told him hes OK to file n-400 based on it. If it was corrected at ROC which is not something they typically do (usually when theres an error you have to do the i90) but IF they corrected it and allowed his filing since it was a divorce his 10yr card wouldve reflected the correct date. Since it doesnt (seem to) we have to assume it was not corrected. Its all very strange...
