Hi,

I am in the process of gathering all the information before I file my application for K1. I got the packet from USCIS with the forms for filing the fiance petition and 2 Biographic forms. The instruction states that all foreign language must be translated in english by a certified translator. Will that include the emails and letters that I'm going to be submitting with the application form? Please help!

Not nessarily. Birth cerificates, divorice decrees, and police certificates need to be translated if not in english. Chats and letters between you and your fiancee do not. Chats and letters also do not need to be included until the interview stage. Just the proof that you met in the past 2 years.

However, if by letters you mean a statement by someone you know atesting to the fact that you two have met each other in the past two years, then you probably want to translate that.

When I got the packet, the instructions states: to provide copies of any evidence to establish your mutual intent in addition to the letter of intent ( is'nt the evidence means proof i.e emails and letters)

What "packet"?

Emails and letters only prove that you've communicated...that's not proof of meeting in person within the two year timeframe they require and that's the main focus at this stage. IF you have been to visit things like boarding passes and stamps in your passport will back this up. Hotel receipts, things of this nature will also go for proof of having met. Pictures are secondary evidence.

The only translation services you need done are birth certificates, name changes if applicable, divorce documents if applicable, certifications if applicable. etc. Only legal documents from your fiances country that you need as proof but are written in a language other then English. Any person emails, cards, letters, etc. do not need translated.

You better clarify, are you talking about packet 3? or the initial filing of form I-129F?

Letter of intent is a statement from you and your fiancee that you intent to get married in 90 days after the benificiary enters the US. It can be one letter with signatures from each of you, or 2 seperate letters, with one from each of you. Follow the guides to find an example that you can adapt for your use.

I have the I-129F....so at this point, passport and picture will do. Could you tell me, besides the I-129F and G-325A, what else do i need to submit right now??

A letter like that exmaple, either 2 one from you and one from your fiancee, or 1 with signatures from both of you.
