Hello there:

When processed for my N-400 Biometrics Appointment (ASC, Elizabeth, NJ), the agent only took my photograph, as well as the fingerprints of my right hand Index & Middle finger.

I was surprised because I saw other applicants get both hands thoroughly scanned. When I asked him, he told it is normal because they already did it for my Green Card.

Also, on the screen, there were only two scan image spaces, where both my index and middle finger prints went.

Can you confirm that this was normal? Just want to make sure I am all done on that front and that I won't have to come back.

Thanks

Perfectly normal, when I had mine done he said that the fingerprints are purely to verify identity at N400 time :)

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey

Agent already gave you the answer. Normal for N400.

What trudi and lucardo said. I went for my biometrics on Friday 13-Mar-2020: photo and two fingers only. When I asked why, I was told that they have the full set of fingerprints already.

They better have my fingerprints after the biometrics for I-485, the Global Entry application and who knows what else...😆
