Hello,

I have a few questions about the I-130 petition. I have heard that for all of the areas that don't apply to you (i.e. Province or A-Number, etc.) you should put "none" or N/A. Is this true, or is it better to leave it blank?

Also, with regard to Physical Addresses, should we include addresses that we didn't consider to be "permanent addresses?" For example, I have lived with my parents since birth, and we have lived at our current address since 2006. However, I did live in a dorm on my university campus for 9 months in 2013/2014 while I was attending school (but I wasn't considering this my "permanent address."), and I studied abroad in Scotland for 6 months in 2016 (5 of those months lived in a dorm on my university campus and 1 of those months I lived with my husband at his mum's house). Would I include those as physical addresses in the last 5 years even though they weren't my permanent addresses? In addition, for the month that I lived at my mother-in-law's house, I didn't have a lease or anything as I was only staying there temporarily until I had to go home, would I still count that?

This brings me to my next question. For various reasons (financial and educational), my husband and I have never signed a lease together, nor do we own property. We have never "officially" lived together as demonstrated by a lease, property ownership, etc., but we have stayed together for extended lengths of time (i.e. lived together for a month at his and his mother's home in the UK in June 2016 until I had to return to the U.S.). Would I include this in the section that asks about the last address we physically lived together, even though it wasn't in an official, permanent, or legal capacity (meaning there was no lease) and was only temporary?

Thank you!

if it does not apply than leave it blank unless the question explicitly asks you to put N/A

include all physical addresses where you lived.  it does not matter if you lived temporarily. the fact is you were a resident at that location unless its a hotel

physical address - means where you physically lives. it has nothing to do with whether the name was on the lease on or not.

duh
