Bucharest Embassy - original divorce doc req'd at K1 interview?

Does anyone have personal experience with the Bucharest Embassy? Specifically if they require the US Petitioner's original divorce certificate or if a copy is sufficient? 

 

We received the following in email but on all other paperwork and Embassy specific checklists do not list original as required. 

"La interviu va rugam sa aduceti dovada in original a terminarii casatoriilor anterioare atat pentru dvs. cat si pentru logodnica dvs., daca este cazul.  "

 

If they need the actual original document I need to send it asap. With the Romanian postal service being what it is....it might get there mid-summer. Any suggestions for reliable international couriers from US to Romania?

Fedex, UPS, DHL.  That's about all the ones I would trust with important documents going from the US to Europe. From Europe to the US I would use either Fedex or UPS. (DHL is not big enough in the US yet).

They need the original divorce decree - the entire document.  I attended the interview with my husband and they returned it to me after the interview.
