A question about moving forward

Hi Everyone,

We have received this notification attached to this post. My question is in regard the topic titled Intent to marry was bonafide.

Should we provide evidence of continued relationship and marriage with labeled pictures, flight tickets, and call logs.  Or would it be best to acquire affidavits from witness of our relationship.

Any help on continuing forward will be appreciated. Our dilemma is that we are not yet living together as I am a US citizen living in the US and she is a Nigerian citizen living in Nigeria.  Therefore, we do not have shared financial obligations and mutual life/medical insurance policies.  However, we may be able to produce a property lease agreement, travel expenses, and pictures of us together when I visit her, usually every 3 months.

Please remove the names from the document for privacy reasons. You can have a will created Online , definitely Add your passport stamps and plane tickets, evidence of time spent together, photos labeled with dates and people in them, chat logs. You can add affidavits but they do not hold as much weight- you definitely want to show proof of time spent together.

Thank You for your response, Lucky.

Alright, I was feeling as if this was not normal to receive an RFE. But it is a bit simpler than I have made it.

Thanks again

Ken and Rose

No, it is not normal to receive such an RFE.  This is very serious.  You got one based on circumstances, including but not limited to evidence you have already submitted, that we know nothing about.  We can advise you better if you tell us how you met, how much time you've spent together in person, and what evidence of relationship you submitted with the petition, if any.

Include also your ages, who is older etc.

Hi Pushbrk,

We appreciate your response.

We are reviewing what was submitted.  I don’t believe the divorce decree was included in the packet. My wife is 33 years old and I am 48 years old. I fly to spend time with her 2 to 3 weeks every quarter. Also, my stepson’s packet was approved on the same day.

They won't approve without the divorce decree but that's not what they are requesting.  I'm guessing you submitted little or no relationship evidence with the petition.  What you actually do, in terms of time spent together needs to be supported by "evidence".

Understood. The packet we submitted included many pictures with time and location stamps. We also included call logs and communication logs with daily conversations,; over 18 months at the time. I’m hoping that the later condition, intent to marry was bonafide, can be satisfied with evidence dating after the initial packet was submitted to prove ongoing relationship.

I hope that I am thinking correctly on this.
