I'd personally send a follow up email, apologising for the error, me being me I'd probably also make a joke (not enough coffee/early morning etc). Make it light-hearted and brief; some employers would actually be more likely to remember you for this and appreciate your self deprecating nature and ability to notice/admit your mistake.

Just my 2pence worth!

Thats what I thought, I was going to send one but my husband said no.

Regardless, she replied this morning - not overly friendly but good news!

We had emailed her wanting to know if she recieved all we had sent her and she said yes she had, she'd tried calling and left a message and would my husband contact her at his earliest convience to continue in the interview process!

I think once he meets her in person, he can joke about it and tell him oops about it!

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

To be honest, I don't think I'd be that offended, and would be very unlikely to draw any conclusions about the person, or what they'd be like as an employee, from that. Strange, given that typos elsewhere in the email would most likely (I admit) make me think 'tsk, use the spellchecker if you can't spell!' - no idea why getting my own name wrong wouldn't have the same effect!

I hope so.

I am not the employer, or the prospective employee. My husband is the prosective employee and really wants this job. Her name is Shelley and we wrote to Stacey, but thats only because we know two sisters called that and always get confused which one is which!

Thanks for your opinion guys, I hope it won't damage his chances!

Have your husband email the HR again. This time, he should address by the right name, Shelley and mention that he wrote Stacey by mistake, because there are two sisters by these names. That would also enable the HR to think that your husband can follow up promptly, wheren there is a need. Turn this negative into positive.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview
