My fiancee got her visa for France -- I was quite worried

Just wanted to let everyone know that my fiancee got her visa for France today. She had to wait at the french embassy in Moscow until 8:15 PM Moscow time. Knowing that it is difficult for a young (still single, for now) Russian woman to get a Schengen visa to a country other than Finland, we were quite concerned. We were also concerned because she is leaving on the 16th (in two days) and, apparently, the French embassy in Moscow is now officially closed (???). I'm sure they've moved somewhere else in Moscow. I think I was more worried about her French visa than her K-1 visa. I can't believe we are going to officially begin our life together with a trip to Paris!!! Good luck to all and wish us luck as well. It has been very difficult to be apart, but we made it :-).

Congrats! But just in case you ever need it, try Greece for a Schengen - it can be for any European country, it just needs to be open in the country that gave it. So you get it to Greece (it's like a couple of days, really fast) and fly to Athens to open the visa and then anywhere you please. My trip was also to Paris through Athens.

Paris is very romantic and relaxing, it's stylish, always a little drunk, very gracious and the atmosphere is unbelievable! Have fun! It's the best place to start love!

I am almost certain that having a US visa in her passport ..assisted with getting the Schengen.... CONGRATS.

YMMV
