I am an American living in Australia and UK for since the age of 16.  I have filed my taxes for the last 3 years ( 2017, 2018 and 2019 ) declaring my global annual income and posted the same to IRS.

I am also unable to create an account at the IRS website using my SSN ( probably coz I never had a credit history in the US- error says we're unable to authenticate you or something like that  )

How do I know if IRS has processed my returns ? Is there any way for me to track my return status at IRS website ? Some insight needed on this.

You can request your transcripts via mail using form 4506-T.

They tend to send it to the most recent address on record. If you used a US mailing address, they will be sent there. If you have a foreign address, they will be sent there (but expect it to take longer to reach you). If you moved since then, you should notify the IRS on the form or with a cover letter that you need your transcripts sent to a different address.

Did you originally send your IRS tax returns with registered mail? Or use any form of mail tracing? If yes you can see the delivery status using the receipt. If you sent it standard, no tracking mail, which isn’t a great idea for sensitive information documents like tax returns which contain SSNs, income, employment addresses, residential addresses, etc, then you can only hope they reached the IRS safely and request your transcripts.

@SorrowL I sent it via registered post which I am unable to track in the US , only able to track in England.

How can I check if IRS has received my postage and they have or are processing my returns ?

You can only really see by getting the transcripts. No real way that I know of to check online. You can try to enter the UK tracking number into USPS tracking systems. Sometimes they are taken from the origin, or assigned new tracing numbers in the US.

Best bet is to request the transcripts with the form.
