Just a quick question, roughly - how long from 'DOCS at EMBASSY' (from DHL) to NOTIFICATION LETTER (to me in the UK) to INTERVIEW?

I have my medical booked.

All else is ready to go :)

* Is it 2 or 4 photos for Embassy Interview? (It's 4x for Medical)

4 passport photos Medical (can be UK size...cheaper)

1 passport photo Interview (must be US size) They scan and hand back.

You will need 6 US size for adjustment of status, so you might want to get those at a UK photo booth while getting what you need for interview. Some booths let you pick US size.

I’m an idiot - I posted my other thread.... I can’t delete it...

however:

why does my search state multiple results?

and

Can I now arrange an interview?

or have to wait for letter?

When should I expect - said letter?

thanks

One final question - when I pick up my passport - what do I get ? In passport / with passport?

Congratulations. Sounds like an easy day except for the two blokes ahead of you clogging up the system.

You will get a package with an outer wrapper you can open. Inside is

  1. Your passport. You’ll find the visa glued to one of the pages inside. Check that your name and info are correct.
  2. A white envelope marked “Do Not Open” which has all your immigration paper files and your full medical report. You will pack that in your hand luggage to turn in at the airport US immigration when you arrive at your POE (point of entry). They will open the envelope and look through the files, stamp your visa page, and maybe say a few word like “Welcome” or “Remember you have 90 days to marry.” They send the files on to a central storage facility. When you apply for AOS, the files will be retrieved to put with your AOS folder.

Thx buddy - your help and support has been tremendous. Really.

Ah the infamous DO NOT OPEN packet. Gotcha! :)

Onwards to a new forum I guess... :)

Things to read now.

POE reviews of the airport where you will first land in the US. You’ll get a clue what to expect when you enter.  Some have secondary rooms, while other may just process in the normal lines. See the menu Office Reviews and Info> Port of Entry >Then find the specific airport.

AOS forum “Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas”

https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/7-adjustment-of-status-green-card-from-k1-and-k3-family-based-visas/

Just read the things people ask or what they get RFEs for and you’ll know the answers for many things when your time comes.

Start filling out the forms as much as possible now (and save to computer) and asking your questions so when you get to the US most of the grunt work is thought through and you’ll have more time to focus on fun with fiancé. My US fiancé had the three applications and evidence finished before my arrival except for certified marriage certificate, photocopies of my visa (with entry markings), my I-94 arrival record, and a few things like that. We filed just barely over a week after my arrival. The sooner you marry, the sooner you can file, the sooner you get work authorization, the sooner you get a greencard, the sooner you can apply for citizenship...you get the picture? Knock on effect based on how soon you get on with things.  Read the form instructions! No extra fee for the second two if you send with AOS.
