Dear all,

I request the owner of this forum to pin the following thread:

I have fallen into the same trap as @Hypnos of "being on top of things" - where I prepared my online application ahead of time and submitted it in the wee-hours of the date I got eligible [specifically December 3, 2018 at 12:08AM]. I am very organized and had a kid few weeks back, so rather than being too excited to submit my application, it so happened that I was up and working that night, and it was on my list of things to cross off. So the formality of logging into the system, putting my credit card information and pressing submit took about 8 minutes.

Anyways, after more than 13 months I received a letter from USCIS that my N-400 was denied because I filed earlier [December 2, 2018] which is incorrect and echoes the case of @Hypnos . See the thread above. I kicked myself on the foot for not waiting till the next day, and I do not follow this forum - so there was no way for me to know until after the fact. Anyways, I will go through the process and have asked @Hypnos for guidance. But I would hate for this to happen to other people and I request the forum managers to pin the post above to somehow warn people to not submit for atleast an extra day after they get eligible.

Best regards,

AA

Nothing to do but reapply at this point. This has happened to many persons. Sorry it happened to you. Many posts warning persons not to file on the first day for this exact reason. In the grand scheme of things at least a few days wait is suggested.

I waited even longer to also account for few days I spent outside of the country.
