I-864 Tax Returns

Hi. I just want some opinion on the I-864. I’ve read that submitting a tax return for 3 years is optional and the only required is the most recent one. Would it be okay if we only send the 2018 tax? Or would it be better if we include the past 2 years?

I don't know if is optional or not but in my case they ask it in the NVC phase. 

 

Is always good have more than less documents to support your case.

Only the most recent year is required. But the other 2 years can be provided...although I would only suggest doing so if they are beneficial to your case.

I haven’t posted this before, but I did as instructed and sent 2018 with W2 and letter from employer in AOS packet. B2-AOS.. Had interview 10/17 Was not approved. 1 month later received approved I-130. Dec 4th received RDE wanting 3 years of taxes and W2s. I-485 still pending...The instructions must not be applicable LOL. I’m way Over the poverty level. Send tax transcripts they can now be downloaded online. Good Luck
