My mother is currently in the US on a tourist visa, she has been here for 2.5 months. She has to go back home to take care of some things then return after abt a month. Will she have any problems when she tries to re-enter? She’ll be staying for 2 more months.

Entry is not guaranteed and mostly is depending on the officer she gets that day, some are very strict. One thing I think is almost sure is that any CBP officer will have curiosity why she is spending more time in the US than in her home country. Before this trip when was the last time she was in the US and for how long?

Why does she “have to return here”? She's here as a visitor. You make it sound like she’s using a tourist visa to live here, which is absolutely not permitted.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Now a US citizen!
