I'm back to being concerned because my DS 260 (document filed in the NVC) has my married name listed as my last name, and my passport has my maiden name. when registering for my interview, it says to please make sure however I interview, that my registration name matches my ds 260 and my passport. again, these are two different last names.

Will this cause any issues when receiving my passport? will they question this at the interview?

They will simply issue your visa in the passport name, I guess it's a daily occurrence to correct errors made by applicants.

Register the courier services in your maiden name. Stop using your married name on anything because obviously you havent completely changed it over.  You could go to a passport office and have a new passport in 2 weeks or less with your married name. But as it is, you're stuck with your maiden name through roc until citizenship.

Its not that big of a deal. People often go to the interview with new passports with a married name.

Timeline

if you want to use your married name, i would suggest changing your passport and other identifications NOW rather than later. they can sort the name change at the interview. However, whatever name is on your passport, is the name the visa/greencard will be issued in. Easier to change it now, so when you come to the US, it will all be how you want it, rather than go through hoops to change things later.

It's also much, much, cheaper to do in Canada.  Paper renewal in the USA+updating green card before ROC+updating other documents will run close to $800...
