I 751 approved after N400 approval

Posting just is case anyone else is in same situation. I became a US citizen with I 751 pending. I thought USCIS closed I 751 when they approved my N400 but that was not the case. I took the oath in July 2019 and got called for I 751 interview yesterday. The officer was shocked the I 751 was not closed, took a copy of my naturalization certificate and closed it. No questions asked. My timeline is up-to-date.

AOS Journey:

3/10/2017: Filed I751 at California Service Center

3/2/2018: Filed N400 - San Antonio TX

3/14/2018: i751 Case transferred to Local Office

9/25/2018: Interview scheduled for N400, November 13th

Congratulations! You did the right thing by taking care of business. I think there were some others in the same situation and he was just gonna ignore the notice. 

 

Anyway, Please vote in 2020!
